Teresa Fiore

Teresa Fiore is the Inserra Chair in Italian and Italian American studies at Montclair State University (USA). The recipient of several fellowships (De Bosis, Rockefeller, Fulbright), she is the author of Pre-Occupied Spaces: Remapping Italy’s Transnational Migrations and Colonial Legacies (Fordham University Press, 2017), and the editor of the 2006 issue of Quaderni del ‘900, devoted to John Fante. Her numerous articles on migration to/from Italy linked to twentieth- and twenty-first-century Italian literature and cinema have been published in Italian, English and Spanish in both journals (Annali d’Italianistica; El hilo de la fabula; Studi Italiani; Bollettino d’italianistica), and edited collections: The Routledge History of Italian Americans co-edited by William J. Connell and Stanislao G. Pugliese (2017); New Italian Migrations to the United States co-edited by Laura E. Ruberto and Joseph Sciorra (University of Illinois Press, 2017); Postcolonial Italy co-edited by Cristina Lombardi-Diop and Caterina Romeo (Palgrave, 2012).
